The whole automatic, context-sensitive advertising thing has made quite a few people quite a lot of money over the last few years. And for the user, it’s sometimes surprisingly useful. Often it’s just ignored. Occasionally, it’s an absolute disaster.
Google has sensibly since removed the ebay module for this search. It’s somehow comforting to know that sometimes the robots just aren’t enough. (via The Register)
